Cay Creek Wetlands Interpretive Center

The Cay Creek Wetlands is a waterway that runs through the Midway and Hinesville area. It is an excellent example of tidal, freshwater wetlands. Bay Cypress and Oak trees are abundant, as are Palms, Palmettos and Magnolias. The area provides habitats for numerous species of animals, including birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and insects. The round trip on the boardwalk is just over 7/10ths of a mile. Location: 189 Charlie Butler Rd, Midway, GA 31320
